Top Choice Lawn Care offers a comprehensive lawn fertilization and treatment program with our partners at Emerald Lawns. Balanced soil is the first step towards lush, vibrant green grass that everyone will love. Our lawns are healthy from top to bottom!
A lot of people only treat their yard when they see weeds, but being proactive is better than reactive. Treating your yard year-round will create far better results than simply treating weeds as you see them. Just like with your own health, you can’t just eat well and exercise one week per year and expect to be healthy. It's a year-round process.
Our 8-step annual program features all the fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides you need. And we utilize an organic, bio-nutritional product to develop and support helpful microorganisms (just as Mother Nature always intended). We spot-treat all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity with each application as necessary. And we even offer free service calls in between applications for any concerns that may come up.
Round 1 (January-February)
Soil Enhancer
Start the year out with our Soil Enhancer application which contains a broad spectrum of nutrients and trace elements for superior soil and leaf biology.
- Balances pH of the soil
- Strengthens the root system of the grass
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Round 2 (February-March)
Revitalizer & Weed Barrier
The Revitalizer application contains a bio-nutritional product in conjunction with fertilization and pre-emergent weed control.
- Bio-nutrients promotes helpful microorganisms
- Contains both quick and slow-release fertilizers
- Pre-emergent barrier prevents weeds for Bermuda and Buffalo Lawns (excludes St. Augustine and Zoysia lawns)
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Round 3 (March-April)
Spring Color Burst & Growth Enhancer
This is the perfect time to feed grass which promotes growth for spring.
- Quick-release fertilizers provide fast green growth
- Slow-release fertilizers provide long-lasting color
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Round 4 (April-June)
Stress Reliever & Weed Barrier
This critical step provides nourishing food and turf-damaging insect control to help prepare your lawn for summer.
- Contains slow-release organic fertilization
- A second pre-emergent barrier prevents late summer annual grassy and broadleaf weeds for Bermuda and Buffalo lawns (excludes St. Augustine and Zoysia lawns)
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Round 5 (June-July)
Rejuvenator
This round helps the grass uptake fertilizer at a steadier rate, minimizing surge growth and providing a more consistent food source for your lawn throughout the summer. Minimal surge growth means less mowing!
- Slow-release granular fertilization regulates steady growth. Minimal surge growth means less mowing!
- Organic matter helps sustain vital microbial activity
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Round 6 (July-September)
Recovery
This round continues to protect your lawn through the heat of summer, providing steady fertilization, minimizing surge growth, and providing a consistent food source.
- Slow-release granular fertilization regulates steady growth
- Organic matter helps sustain vital microbial activity
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Round 7 (September-November)
Harmonizer & Weed Barrier
Our blend of potassium and micronutrients helps prepare the lawn for dormancy and protects against freeze damage. We also apply pre-emergent weed control on all turf types to drastically minimize the weed activity associated with winter and spring.
- Bio-nutritional application balances healthy microorganisms
- Slow-release fertilization provides a steady food source for the winter
- Pre-emergent barrier prevents winter weeds
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Round 8 (November-December)
Winter Soil Conditioner
This soil-conditioning step reduces alkalinity and helps keep the grass greener and healthier all year round. A high pH locks up important nutrients in the soil, making them unavailable for the grass to use. Also, fungus thrives in a high alkaline environment.
- Sulfur reduces our naturally alkaline soil in Central Texas
- Potassium reduces winter damage and promotes quicker recovery
- Includes spot treatment for all broadleaf weeds, insect, and disease activity as necessary
Add-on
Grubworm/Chinch Bug/Army Worm Control
Grubworm treatment is an optional add-on to prevent and control these root-munching pests! This annual service is usually provided along with Round 3 (beginning in March), but it can be applied with any treatment up through November. Additional fees apply.
